Lexi and Tony's wedding ceremony

There are many steps along the path of life. Occasionally we arrive at a stepping stone along the path that we wish could last forever. Meeting one another the way the two of you met, I'm sure, is one of those steps. I can't think of a better foundation to start from, than meeting in the temple. Continue to make the temple a priority in your lives and you will be blessed.

Make sure to write everything down while everything is fresh and new. While that spark is so vivid, clear and you are both so excited to explore your new life together. Never lose that spark! Cherish this step, write down these feelings to remember and recall. That way, as years go by, you can reflect on and continue to cultivate those feelings on your amazing journey together.

Remember the love you have for one another and work on growing that love, every day. Just like your testimony of Christ was built, line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little, there a little. Invest in your marriage every day with micro investments of love and service towards one another. For it is upon those little things that an eternal marriage is built. Marriage, as you know, takes work and commitment, love and sacrifice. So cherish one another, keep God at the center of your marriage. Love and hold each other's heart, as if it were the most precious thing on the earth. Serve each other as if it were the only thing that mattered and allow your spouse to serve you. If you do these things, your marriage will be built upon an unshakable eternal foundation.

Make the choice every day is to stand together as partners and to love each other unconditionally.
Love is listening to each other, supporting each other, and enjoying this adventure of life with
each other. Love is being honest with each other, having the capacity to forgive and forget, finding dreams to share and common goals to work towards, and sharing responsibilities equally. Love is learning when it is time to speak and when it is time to listen.  It is trusting that as your lives continue to grow and change, you will keep in step and move forward together. Your love is not a feeling to be taken lightly, but a privilege to be cherished and nurtured.  Love is standing together, facing the world.  It is not only finding the right partner, it is continually working to be the right partner.

With an eternal mindset, this ceremony is but a stepping stone along the path of your eternal progression together. Never lose sight that the value is in the journey, not the destination. Even after you are eventually sealed, keep this perspective and you will be just fine.

The "I Do's"
Do you, Tony, take Lexi to be your wife,
to be her constant friend, her partner in life, and her true love.
To love her without reservation, honor and respect her, protect her from harm, comfort her in times of distress, and to grow with her in mind and spirit?

Do you, Lexi, take Tony to be your husband,
to be his constant friend, his partner in life, and his true love.
To love him without reservation, honor and respect him, protect him from harm, comfort him in times of distress, and to grow with him in mind and spirit?

In the presence of these family and friends I now pronounce you husband and wife!
You may kiss the bride!

Friends and Family, it is my great joy and pleasure to present to you...
Tony and Lexi Woodbury!
