Learning and appreciating opposites helps keep a balance in life. On my mission I read a pagan newspaper, that helped me keep a balance as I studied deeper into the doctrine of Christ. Having a crappy marriage will hopefully help me to appreciate a good one. I firmly believe that we need to learn opposites in order to fully appreciate good. It's like the atonement and the depth that Christ went to. He has a love and appreciation that none of us could ever fathom. Because of the depth that he had to go to. So he understands and has a love and its opposite that none of us could ever fathom.
It is essential to learn from our mistakes in this life so that we can fully appreciate and understand the good parts. If we don't understand or learn from our mistakes we are doomed to repeat them. If bad things sometimes continue to happen there's a lesson that God wants us to learn that's essential to our salvation. So learn from your mistakes fully appreciate the depth of their sorrow. Because only then will we be able to appreciate their opposite and understand a more full joy and happiness. This is a small example of the atonement. Christ went to such an ultimate low of sorrow and sadness, such that none of us could ever understand or even fathom. But he also has a joy and happiness that will be unmatched through the eternities. Through this, he has grown a love for us that we could never fathom.
Fiercely loyal to me means not only honoring my temple covenants of being sexually loyal to my partner but seeing other woman in a more neutral gender kind of way. Giving all of my energy to my partner, physical, emotional, spiritual. Being there for her in all aspects. Actually putting her first in everything. Her concerns are my concerns. Her needs are my needs. Becoming one. That is the ultimate goal, if one truly understands the plan of salvation and what it takes to attain its highest glory. Lifting and supporting in all aspects. For example; in a scenario where I completely disagree with her in public about something, I will have her back and defend her. We might discuss it later in private, if needs be. But I 100% have her back, I'd never want her to feel otherwise. And I hope to have all that reciprocated. That is the gist of what fiercely loyal means to me. Life to me is about finding balance in all things. Learning constantly, growing forever. I am hoping to find that in an eternal partner. One whom also has the ultimate goal of being sealed in the temple. I know who I am right now, in the here and now, I know what my ultimate goal is.
