Creationism Vs. Evolution

My response to the recent debate between Bill Nye and Ken Ham.

Who is to say that God doesn’t have to follow the physical laws of the universe?

Our big misconception is in the measure of time. We have been viewing it only from our own perspective. I propose this; That time to us on this planet is measured differently than that of God.
For example:
A year to us is 365 earth days. A year on mars takes 687 earth days. The closer the planet is to the sun the fewer the days it takes to circle the sun. The farther away from the sun it is, the longer it takes to circle the sun. Mercury takes 88 earth days, Jupiter takes 4,332 earth days, Pluto takes 90,403 days or 248 earth years.
And even the measure of a day to us is measured on how fast the earth rotates. All planets rotate at different rates.
For example:
A day on Venus is 243 earth years. While a day on Jupiter is only 9.9 hours.

Like when people thought the earth was the center of the universe we need to get over this selfish perspective that everything is in reference to ourselves.

God has a physical body. Therefore he has to have a place to reside. I speculate that God lives on or is from another planet somewhere in the universe. That perhaps the seven days that the bible references in the creation of the earth, are in fact referenced not to earth years but to this planet where earth's creator is from.

So from this perspective, creation and evolution are not different from one another, but are in fact exactly how God created the earth.

So let’s stop bickering about whose imaginary friend is correct and focus more on figuring out why we are here. How we better ourselves, as a whole. This is what I believe we are here for. To learn to love and help one another, to better the lives of those around us and by so doing, bettering the lives of all our posterity till we get to the point where we can all be proud to be called a human.

I’ll finish with a quote from one of the most eye opening television series of our time:
"Were the same, we share the same history the same heritage, the same lives. We are tied together beyond any untying. Man or Woman, it makes no difference. Were human! We couldn’t escape from each other even if we wanted to. …And the only thing that is truly yours is the rest of humanity. That is where our duty lies."

  1. My son is experiencing some intellectual and spiritual growth directly related to this. Squaring the laws of physics with the myths of religion is for many people, difficult if not impossible.

When I have these conversations with people I basically end up telling them that my God is a God of intelligence, reason and compassion. I have very little difficulty in squaring the laws of physics with the Laws of God. Mind you, I also make a distinction between actual laws of God and not misinterpreted (even if by best intentioned people) laws of man.

My son seems to be doing just fine in asking questions that strengthen his faith while at the same time dismissing non-sensical ideas no matter where they come from.
